A shopkeeper marked a article somewhat higher than the cost price and sold it at a certain discount. Find the cost price of the article. 
Statement I: shopkeeper marked the article at 40% above the cost price and sold it at a discount of 20% on marked price. In this traction he had a profit of Rs. 156. 
Statement II: Shopkeeper marked the article at Rs. 520 above the cost price and sold it at a discount of 20% on marked price. In this transaction he made a profit of 12%.
